Inspirational teaching and caring, providing your child every opportunity to learn,
explore, flourish, grow and understand their world.

When children are 3, they move into the CASA program.  Casa means ‘home’ in Italian and the Montessori philosophy and Educational method carefully provides a safe, nurturing and ‘homelike’ environment for all children to learn well.

When your child is in the Casa class, she will continue using the specially designed Montessori learning materials and start to use letters, form words, experiment with new sounds and become a language learner.  These activities are part of the Language Arts Area.

In the Practical Life Area, your child will develop the ability to organize tasks and thinking about the correct order of completing a task.  Your child will be better able to care for herself, care for her environment (inside and outside), use grace and courtesy and continue to develop coordination in physical movements.

The Sensorial Area allows your child to continue to use her senses to order, classify, describe items in relation to length, width, temperature, mass, color and pitch.

In the  Mathematics Area, your child will use concrete learning objects to learn concepts of numbers, symbols, sequencing, operations (adding, subtracting) and memorizing basic math facts.  All the Montessori materials are self correcting which allows your child to learn how to use math easily.

Cultural Activities expose your child to basics in geography, history, and life sciences.  Music, art and movement education are part of the integrated cultural curriculum.

In each Montessori area, there are low level shelves your child can reach and where the learning materials are displayed in sequential order.  Your child will make choices about what she wants to do and after the activity is finished, she will put back the materials in the correct place for the next child to use.
